Founded in 1928, the charity is well known for its outings to the seaside when convoys of London taxis decked in balloons and banners take excited 'special needs' children and their helpers for a fun day out.
Although The London Taxi Drivers' Fund for Underprivileged Children are renowned for their outings, there is a lot more that the charity undertakes during the year.
This website has three main aims:
- To provide information on the charity's objectives, work and activities and history.

- To provide information on how taxi drivers can help the charity.

AND ENJOY OUR WEBSITE
We are a 13 strong committee and are all working licensed London taxi drivers,
who take no money for the time spent helping to improve the lives of 'special
needs' children. The committee meet every month and apart from planning future
outings and events, we also review the many appeals we receive for financial help,
which can be for the purchase of medical, recreational and communicative
equipment for individual families, children's residential homes and hospitals.
